It started with screenshots. Every new cleanser, serum, or sunscreen one of us was eyeing got sent to the other with the same question: "Is this going to break me out?"
Then came the checking. We'd copy the ingredient list, paste it into one site, cross-check it on another, and look up every name we didn't recognize, then text each other what we found. Fifteen minutes per product, every time. The answers were out there. They were just buried under marketing, paid reviews, and "dermatologist recommended" labels that didn't mean much.
