Terms of Service

By using Ralli, you agree to these terms. We've written them to be readable, not deliberately confusing. If something isn't clear, email us and we'll explain it.

Who we are

Ralli is a skincare social app made by GoodSisters, based in Granite Bay, California. You can reach us at support@theralliapp.com. These terms cover the Ralli iOS app, the Ralli web app (app.theralliapp.com), and our website (theralliapp.com).

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Ralli. Ralli is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or send us any personal information. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
• If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live (usually 18), you may only use Ralli with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
• We don't currently verify age at signup. Ralli does not, as of this date, use an automated age check or parental consent check when you create an account. By creating an account, you're telling us you meet the age requirements above, and that's what we rely on. We may add stronger checks in the future, and we'll act on any account found to break this section as soon as we learn about it.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
• You may only have one account. Don't impersonate other people, brands, or organizations.
• We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these terms or pose a risk to other users.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings in the app.

What you can post

Ralli is a community built on honest skincare experiences. When you post or share anything on Ralli, including your bio, username, profile photo, ratings, captions, product reactions (Add to Routine, Want to Try, or Not For Me), and direct messages, you agree to:

• Share genuine opinions and experiences, not fake reviews or paid promotions you haven't disclosed.
• Not post or send anything hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or violent.
• Not post content that promotes self harm or eating disorders.
• Not impersonate brands, dermatologists, or other users.
• Not spam, advertise, or promote products in a misleading way, including through direct messages.
• Not post content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights. If you believe someone has done so, see Copyright complaints below.
• Only sync contacts you have the right to share with us, and not use contact sync or Find Friends to harass anyone or collect other people's information.
• Not scrape, copy, or collect data from Ralli or about other users outside of normal app use, and not reverse engineer the app.
• Not try to get around our security, access other users' accounts or data, or use bots, scripts, or automated tools with Ralli, including to run scans or call our services outside the app.

Anything you write in your bio is your choice to share, including any mention of your own skin history, and other Ralli users can see it. See our Privacy Policy for what other users can see.

We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these standards and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so. We are not obligated to monitor user content, but we may do so at our discretion. You can block any user in the app. A blocked user can't follow you, message you, or see your profile and posts, and won't be suggested to you through Find Friends or contact sync. To report a user, a post, or a message, email support@theralliapp.com with the subject line "Report." We review every report and act on it.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Ralli infringes your copyright, please send a notice to support@theralliapp.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice" that includes:

1. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
2. A description of where on Ralli the infringing material is located (a screenshot helps).
3. Your contact information (name, address, email, phone).
4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

Medical disclaimer

Ralli is not medical advice, and we are not your dermatologist.

We built Ralli to help you make more informed choices about the products you put on your skin. But pore scores, ingredient ratings, ingredient explanations, and the things your friends say in the app are educational tools, not diagnoses. They are not a substitute for the advice of a qualified healthcare provider.

Please talk to a dermatologist if:

• You have persistent acne, eczema, rosacea, or any skin condition that concerns you.
• You're starting or stopping prescription skincare (tretinoin, hydroquinone, oral medications).
• You're pregnant or breastfeeding. Many active ingredients have specific guidance for these situations.
• You have an allergic reaction to any product, especially one with swelling, hives, or difficulty breathing. That's a 911 call, not a Ralli search.

A few things to keep in mind when you use Ralli:

• Pore scores are general guidance, not personal predictions. An ingredient flagged as likely to clog pores for most acne prone skin may be perfectly fine for yours.
• Everyone's skin is different. Two people can use the same product and have completely different results.
• Always patch test. Apply a small amount to your inner forearm for 48 hours before using a new product on your face.
• Some information is written by AI. Ingredient ratings marked "Estimated by AI," ingredient explanations, and ingredient lists read from your scans are generated with AI and can be wrong.
• Ingredient data has gaps. We pull from published research, licensed data, and AI analysis, and formulations change. If you spot a mistake, email us at support@theralliapp.com. It really helps.
• Community reviews are opinions, not evidence. A high community rating means a lot of people liked a product. It does not mean it's safe or effective for you.

You're the expert on your own skin. We're here to give you better tools to make decisions, but those decisions are yours.

Your content

You own the content you post. By posting it, you give us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to store, display, and share it within Ralli so the app can work. That includes showing your posts in your followers' feeds, showing your ratings and routine products to other users as described in our Privacy Policy, and including your ratings in a product's community score. We won't sell your content or use it in advertising without your permission.

When you delete a post, it is removed from the app. When you delete your account, your content is removed as described in our Privacy Policy. Some aggregate data, like a product's community rating, and ingredient corrections added to our product database may stay in anonymised form, and the licence above continues for that anonymised data.

Affiliate links and disclosures

As an Amazon Associate, Ralli earns from qualifying purchases. Ralli participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

When you tap "Shop" on a product, you're taken to Amazon through a link that contains our affiliate tag. If you make a purchase, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps support the cost of running Ralli.

Our editorial picks, founder picks, and product rankings are decided independently. Affiliate participation does not influence whether a product appears in Ralli or how it is scored. We disclose sponsored content clearly whenever it appears.

Our ingredient data & AI

Ralli's ingredient database and pore scores are compiled from published research, licensed data (including data provided by The Beauty API), and AI analysis using Anthropic's Claude. When you scan a product, the text on the label is read on your device and then matched or analysed with AI. We do our best to keep the data accurate, but we cannot guarantee completeness or correctness for every product. If you spot an error, email us at support@theralliapp.com.

To keep Ralli running smoothly for everyone, we may limit how many scans you can run each day.

Disclaimer of warranties

Ralli is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoodSisters disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not warrant that Ralli will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or completely secure, or that ingredient data, pore scores, AI generated content, or community content will be accurate, complete, or current.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoodSisters and its founders, employees, and partners will not be liable for:

• Any skincare reactions, allergic responses, breakouts, irritation, or other health outcomes resulting from products you choose to use, regardless of whether you found those products through Ralli.
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Any interruption, downtime, data loss, security breach, or unavailability of the service.
• Any reliance you place on user reviews, ratings, AI generated content, or other community content.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so portions of these limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GoodSisters and its founders, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of Ralli;
• Content you post, share, or send through Ralli;
• Your violation of these terms;
• Your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

We reserve the right to take over the exclusive defense of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.

Termination

You may stop using Ralli at any time, and you may delete your account from your profile settings in the app.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Ralli, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice or cause, including if we believe:

• You have broken these terms;
• Your conduct poses a risk to other users, our partners, or us;
• It is required by law or by a request from law enforcement;
• We are discontinuing the service.

Upon termination, your right to use Ralli ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Disclaimer of warranties, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Governing law, and Dispute resolution, will continue to apply.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We'll do our best to tell you about significant changes in advance. We may also update these terms. When we do, we'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Ralli after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

Force majeure

Neither party will be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government action, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or hosting provider outages, or third party service failures.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Ralli from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

• These terms are between you and GoodSisters only, not Apple. GoodSisters, not Apple, is solely responsible for Ralli and its content.
• Your licence to use Ralli is a limited, nontransferable licence to use it on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Ralli.
• If Ralli fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Ralli.
• GoodSisters, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Ralli, including product liability claims, claims that Ralli fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that Ralli or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, GoodSisters, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and resolving the claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must follow any applicable third party terms when using Ralli, such as your wireless data service agreement.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.

California residents: your privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share.
• The right to request deletion of your personal information.
• The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
• The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (we do not sell your personal information).
• The right to non discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise these rights, email support@theralliapp.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before responding. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The federal and state courts located in Placer County, California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute not subject to arbitration under the next section.

Dispute resolution and arbitration

Most concerns can be resolved by emailing us at support@theralliapp.com. We encourage you to contact us before filing a formal claim, and we'll work in good faith to resolve the issue.

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of Ralli will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that:

• You may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.
• Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property or unauthorized access issues.

Arbitration will be conducted by JAMS or the American Arbitration Association under their consumer rules, in Placer County, California, or another mutually agreed location. Each side bears its own costs unless the arbitration rules require otherwise.

You and GoodSisters agree that any dispute will be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action. Class arbitrations and class actions are not permitted.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@theralliapp.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt Out" within 30 days of creating your account. Opting out will not affect any other part of these terms.

General provisions

Severability. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and GoodSisters regarding Ralli, and replace any prior agreements on the same subject.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these terms to a successor or affiliate, including in connection with a merger or acquisition.

Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal effect.
